The tour aims at introducing a white wine of excellence such as Falanghina in its land of election and production, enhancing and promoting the territory and the village of Castelvenere through its privileged ambassador, its identity product, together with its cultural, environmental and landscape beauties. Wine tastings and visits to wineries, discovery of typical products of local gastronomy, but also story of monuments, works of art, landscapes and natural views.
Meeting with our tour guide at 9:30 AM in Piazza San Barbato, Castelvenere, and delivery of the welcome gift (shopping bag, local area map, discount vouchers for participating shops, souvenir gadget).
The experience begins with a unique and timeless walk through alleys, historic buildings, towers, and the characteristic tuff wine cellars, hand-dug into the tuff rock and dating back to the Renaissance period. These cellars were used for storage purposes until the 1970s.
The village covers an area of approximately 14 square kilometers, of which about 11 are cultivated with vineyards producing D.O.C., D.O.C.G., and I.G.T. grapes, grown by farmers committed to high-quality agriculture.
Next, there will be a visit to a winery, founded in the spirit of the historical tradition of ancient tuff cellars and environmental sustainability. The winery is deeply connected to the territory, seen as a heritage to protect, enhance, and reinterpret—not nostalgically, but with a contemporary approach.
Wine tasting. End of the tour.
NOTE: The scheduled visits may be rearranged for technical reasons, but the program will remain unchanged.
