Cusano Mutri is admired for the richness of its natural landscape, the beauty of its historical center and the charm of its traditions.
Set in a valley at the foot of Mount Mutria, from which it takes its name, it is located at about 475 meters above sea level. The village of Cusano Mutri, of medieval origin, consists of houses perched around the castle, overlooking the surrounding valley. The roofs of the houses, in local white limestone, form a forest from which the bell towers and domes of the churches stand out. Small alleys and winding staircases are bordered by curtain walls supported by ancient arches. From the highest point of the village, the view embraces a wide landscape of majestic mountains and beech woods.
Cusano Mutri can boast, in fact, to be part of the club “The most beautiful villages in Italy“.
