Program in summary

A journey to discover the most fascinating Sannio, a combination of art, spirituality, enchanting landscapes, excellent food and wine and traditions unchanged for centuries. The journey starts in Benevento to explore its history, architecture and in particular the Church of Santa Sofia, a UNESCO heritage site. This is followed by Pietrelcina, a place of strong spirituality that was the birthplace of St. Pius, and then on to Castelvenere, custodian of an important winemaking tradition, and concluding the itinerary in Sant’ Agata de’ Goti, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and also European City of Wine 2019. In particular, this recognition is to be attributed to the Sannio Falanghina territory, which includes five municipalities: Castelvenere, Guardia Sanframondi, Sant’Agata de’ Goti, Solopaca and Torrecuso
