Program in summary

Naples is a city with a millenary history, in which every corner is a mystery, every alley tells a story, every street has seen artists, writers, musicians who have drawn their inspiration from Naples and have named it as their muse. The historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, represents the first historic centre in Europe for size and is a treasure trove of monuments, architecture and atmosphere that condense 27 centuries of history. A few kilometres from Naples, of remarkable charm, we find the archaeological site of Pompeii, which since 1997 is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was part of the Ancient Roman Empire, destroyed and buried during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Unlike Pompeii, the archaeological site of Paestum, since 1998 a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is highlighted by the shimmering white marble that makes up the Greek temples of the sixth century BC, which stand out against the dark green hills and the deep blue sea. Towards the hinterland is located Benevento: unique in its kind and inimitable in its history, we can admire historical monuments and works of art including the Monumental Complex of Santa Sofia, from 2011 UNESCO heritage. To conclude we will admire the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta and its park, two jewels of unparalleled splendour, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
