Cusano Mutri is esteemed for the richness of its natural landscape, the beauty of its historic center and the charm of its traditions.
Settle in a valley at the foot of Mount Mutria, from which it takes its name, the village is situated approximately 475 meters above sea level. Of medieval origin, Cusano Mutri consists of houses clustered around the castle, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valley. The roofs of the houses, made from local white limestone, create a canopy from which the bell towers and domes of the churches rise. Narrow alleys and winding staircases are framed bu curtain walls supported by ancient arches. From the highest point of the village, the view stretches across a vast landscape of majestic mountains and beech forests.
Cusano Mutri is proud to be a member of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” association.
